Senior Director
The Senior Director works with physician partners (as appropriate) to set clinical direction, champion quality improvement and patient safety, and monitor performance and trends in order to drive continuous improvement.
Creating the conditions for innovation and leading change, the Senior Director is responsible for managing all financial, human and physical resources of the area, overseeing key performance indicators and resolving operational issues at the program / site level.
For externally provided services, the Senior Director will manage the contracts and accountabilities of external providers and ensure that key accountabilities are met.
The Senior Director will negotiate service changes, contract extensions, and works to problem solve any delivery or service issues.
A key role of this position is to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with stakeholders including physicians and various regulatory bodies, to ensure that any issues impacting the programs are identified and addressed.
The Senior Director works closely with Alberta Health Services (AHS) to fully integrate the Covenant Health sites into provincial and zone initiatives.
The Senior Director speaks on behalf of Covenant Health at various provincial and zone meetings and working groups. The Senior Director will uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of Covenant Health in all aspects of the role, ensuring a focus on the strategic direction and priorities of the organization.

Required Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree in health care discipline or business / administration required. Minimum 8 to 10 years progressive health care management experience desired.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementation, as supported by a results oriented management style. Experience at a senior level in hospital / facility / program administration within a multi-union environment.
Additional Required Qualifications :
A combination of education and experience, and equivalencies, will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s Degree in a related Health Sciences field is an asset.
