Charge Hand Cleaner

£8,445 - £8,579 per year (Grade 3A term time pro rata)

Part time (13.5 hours per week) – Monday to Friday

The Headteacher & Governing Body are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Charge Hand Cleaner to ensure the cleaning team at St Mary’s Primary work well as a team to safely, effectively and efficiently clean the school interior and present the school to a very high standard throughout. This newly created role has been made possible by bringing the existing valued cleaning team in-house. It is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skill set and to really make this role their own. The Charge Hand Cleaner is a ‘hands on’ role with a defined area to clean and an experienced and friendly team of cleaners to supervise, supporting and enabling them to increase efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced cleaner with supervisory experience, a good understanding of COSHH regulations and experienced in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of services. You should have significant cleaning experience, COSHH accreditation (or willingness to work towards), good interpersonal skills, be suitable to work with young people, a good understanding of health and safety procedures and ability to achieve high standards of presentation (cleaning).
