Technical Data Analyst

Global Financial Firm located in Mississauga, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Data Analyst.

This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.

You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.

We will be expected in the office weekly days depending on the team requirement.

Video / ff interviews are required prior to all offers.

Description :

Technical Data Analyst will function as the single point of contact for those creating and consuming data within their respected data domain(s).

Additionally, they will be driving the dev teams to interact directly with key domain and project stakeholders, other Business Analysts across the organization and relevant SMEs throughout the organization, as necessary.

The Analyst will play an active role as the global data representative in design decisions with up / downstream implications, requiring a deep understanding of data architecture implications in Data Warehousing, Kafka, Hadoop, and other Data Services technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of data quality principles and practices.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing data quality rules to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data across multiple systems.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and other stakeholders to define data quality requirements and standards.
• Create and maintain documentation related to data quality rules processes and procedures.
• Monitor and report on the metrics providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in data quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data governance under Client Data Management policies.
• Understand issues, complete root cause analysis with stakeholders from product control, reporting, Finance and Business to define solution to address the material impact.
• Review data assets to identify critical attributes and socialize these with the wider enterprise systems.
• Data BA are Responsible for identifying golden sources of data sets and guiding users and application development to use these.
• Coordinate across the organization with fellow Data Client on strategic initiatives, to maintain consistency of Client operational and analytical data across all Asset Classes.
• Ensure alignment of the data governance processes and standards with applicable enterprise, business segment, and local data support models.
• Monitor key data management and governance metrics to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within their domain(s).

Requirements :

• Ability to elicit, document, prioritize, and define business needs and requirements.
• Understanding of Project Management lifecycle, practices, and methodologies.
• Prior Experience / Working Knowledge of Flow / sequence diagrams, Visio.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis.
• Strong data management knowledge to ingestion, manipulation, enrichment, consumption, and reporting.
• years of experience working in the Finance and Vendor master data domains, associated elements / processes, involving multiple systems and interdependent data.
• years of experience working in data management with Code mining, Data Mining, Visual data Lineage, System to system Lineage as Information Steward
• Ability to collaborate with the business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and execution of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures are defined and implemented.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of master data elements and processes per the necessary in-scope data domains, specifically Finance and Vendor.
