About the role:

Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as the Full-Time PermanentSecurityOfficer.

The SecurityOfficerplays a key role in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of all guests, employees, and property at the Four Seasons Whistler Resort & Residences.

What you will do:

The Security Team is available24-hoursa day. The Security Officer activelyparticipatesin the day-to-day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests,personneland property.

• Perform duties within the Security office to include report writing, key distribution, daily shift log, answering telephone calls,signing incontractors,monitoringthe fire alarmsystemand viewing the closed-circuit television monitors.

• Assistin providing a safe environment for all persons entering the property.

• Emphasize prevention of incidents or accidents on property.

• Document all incidents that are reported to Security.

• Patrol the property on foot, locking and unlocking restricted or back of house areas andmaintaininga safe work environment.

• Respond tolockedout guest calls or employee key entries into secure buildings or the storeroom afterpurchasinghours. Repair malfunctioning door locks and in room safes. Respond to Noise or smoking complaints.

• Respond, remain calm and address disturbances, medical situations, crimes and threats to life and property, whether with employees,guestsorvisitors.

• Collect, log, shipand distributelost andfound leftby guests or visitors on the property.

• Ability to stand or walk forlong periodsof time, go up and downstepsand lift 50 pounds.

Hourly Wage: $25.00-$27.00

What you bring:

• A validSecurity Worker Licensefor the province of British Columbia (strongly encouraged).

• A validOccupational First Aid Attendant certification, equivalent toWorkSafeBC’sIntermediate First Aiddesignation (strongly encouraged).

• A sincere willingness to provide service to residents,guestsand peers.

• Ability to function well under pressure, setprioritiesand adjust to changing conditions.

• Demonstrates a strongwork ethic with aclearsense of responsibility for the role.

• Candidates with strong administrative,communicationand technology skills are preferred.

Schedule & Hours:

As our hotel is open 24/7,365 daysa year, we expect the SecurityOfficer to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, on a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week.

Shifts will be a mix of day and evening hours based on operational needs, typically from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM.
