TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Piping Designer role to work for an amazing EPCM client in Vancouver, BC. This position comes with a great opportunity to work on medium to large sized projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bulk material take-off analysis and compile tabulations.
• Generate intricate 2D CAD drawings.
• Conduct model reviews using a 3D review platform and develop 3D models of moderate to high complexity.
• Comply with industry codes, standards, and departmental procedures.
• Apply project standards to design drawings and 3D layouts.
• Review and verify complex drawings and vendor documentation across disciplines to ensure they meet project specifications and resolve any discrepancies.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• A total of 15 years of combined education and relevant experience, specifically in the mining and mineral sectors.
• Skilled in effectively communicating with various groups, including leadership, team members, clients, suppliers, contractors, and guests.
• Practical experience in field operations.
• Proficient in using computer applications, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Strong attention to detail and capable of managing tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
• Background in piping layout, mining and metals, and leadership positions.
• Equipped with the necessary technical expertise to perform job functions.
• Able to understand and implement local, state/provincial, and national regulations and guidelines.
