Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an IT Project Manager - Senior to join their team. As an IT Project Manager - Senior, you will be part of the Cyber Third party and resilience team supporting the Operational Resilience Program, a regulatory program that the bank needs to meet.
This program supports all regions, including CAN, US, UK, Caribbean, etc. This role is to help roll out changes to the program.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with project financials, executing complex project plans, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Location : Remote / Hybrid - Every Tuesday in office
Pay Range : $84 - $93 per hour
What's the Job?
- Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope.
- Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
- Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
- Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
- Help develop presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
- Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
- Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising.
- Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
- Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget using CIBC procedures and policies.
What's Needed?
- At least 7 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Strong experience with project financials
- Experience executing complex project plans
- Microsoft Project / Excel
- Previous financial institution experience (previous CIBC would be beneficial)
- Previous regulatory experience
- Experience using Planview PMP
- Strong communication skills
- More work experience focused
