Responsibilities

• Building New and repairing / overhauling Large Die Cast Molds that can weigh up to 150,000 lbs.
• The Toolmakers are responsible to assemble, fit and plumb these tools.
• There is some machining, Bridgeport, manual Lathe, and Surface Grinder.
• Expectations of the Toolmakers are to head up a build
• The Toolmakers sample to run some Dies and the Toolmakers support the sample run as well after they complete

Qualifications

Requirements :

• 3+ years experience in heavy manufacturing with set-up and operation of conventional and CNC machines
• Understanding of G-codes is essential
• Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments (calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales)
• Programming experience is an asset, must have a basic understanding
• Must have experience machining hardened steel
• Tool and Die License
