Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Level 1 MSP Field Technician based in Calgary, AB. The Field Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to clients, troubleshooting issues with hardware and software, setting up and maintaining IT systems, and ensuring seamless IT operations. The role includes managing and resolving user requests, configuring devices and networks, and providing excellent customer service to meet client needs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of hardware installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
- Proficiency in software troubleshooting, application support, and operating system management
- Understanding of both PC and Mac environments.
- Understanding of network setup, configuration, and maintenance, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Knowledge of IT service management principles, including ticketing systems and escalation protocols
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively assist and interact with a variety of clients
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Preferred : Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent knowledge are an asset
- Experience in a managed services provider (MSP) environment is highly desirable but not necessary.
- Candidates must have own vehicle and be able to drive.
