Job description

Plant Manager.

  • Staff, train evaluate and develop team members.
  • Accountable for production costs, labour utilization, yields, results of Operations and cost of operations.
  • Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators and down time.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements the maintenance improvement plan for the plant, including the preparation and execution of the annual capital expenditure budget for this location.
  • Monitors the production process, makes periodic checks, and adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are always safe.
  • Strictly adhering to and follow all safety policies and procedures as outlined int he company policies and training sessions.
  • Verify the readiness of the production line at start- up and supervise change overs.
  • Manager overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
  • Ensures that customer service level targets are met through the synchronization of manufacturing processes / activities with all functional areas-from "demand planning" to "customer delivery".
  • Manages the performance of hourly and salaried manufacturing personnel via effective implementation of Human Resources processes and policies.
  • Maintains and builds a productive / positive employee relations environment.
  • Sets and meets all "Health and Safety" audit targets.
  • Accountable for all aspects of "Quality Assurance", and for meeting customer product specifications.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of Production Management experience in a manufacturing environment must be in personal and home care products.
  • Demonstrated leadership, superior communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead the work of others.
  • Experience in "Six Sigma" or "Continuous Improvement"
  • A proven track record of successfully participating in, and / or leading projects that deliver significant cost savings.
  • Intermediate skills with Office tools such as excel, word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience working within multiple shifts.
  • Forklift Certification is a plus.

Job Type :

Salary : $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year also includes 15% discretionary bonus, based on Business, department, and personal performance.
