Senior Project Manager
Overview : We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee infrastructure construction projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, project planning, resource management, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities : Project Planning and Execution : Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
Coordinate and oversee all phases of the construction project, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory standards.
Manage project schedules, track progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.Resource Management : Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure necessary resources and services.Monitor resource utilization and optimize efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for projects.Facilitate regular meetings to provide updates on project status, resolve issues, and address concerns.
Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.Budget and Cost Control : Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project profitability.Quality Assurance and Compliance : Implement quality control measures to ensure construction meets industry standards and specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments to identify and address issues promptly.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budget.
Proactively address issues and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum and minimize disruptions.Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years experience as a Project Manager in infrastructure construction. Experience with open cut and or sewer and watermain experience considered an asset.
Strong understanding of construction processes, permits, construction codes, and regulations.Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in project management software and tools.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
