Mechanic Diesel 527

Shift : Monday to Friday : 3 : 30 pm – 12 : 00 am (40 hours / week)

Pay Rate : $40.19  / hour

Location : 220 Joseph Zatzman Dr, Dartmouth, NS B3B 1P4

The Diesel Mechanic inspects, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs assigned on‑ / off‑road and heavy‑duty equipment to ensure proper function, vehicle safety and meet quality and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair on‑ / off‑road and heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules, ensure proper function and meet vehicle safety and quality goals.
• Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA)).
• Communicate concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager.
• Respond to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers.

Education

Experience

3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
