Job descriptionSecondary (high) school graduation certificate Prepare estimates of labour and / or material costs Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Estimate costs and materials Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities Supports newcomers and / or refugees with foreign credential recognition Provides diversity and cross‑cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and / or refugees Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans Provides cultural competency training and / or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example : anonymizing the hiring process, etc.) Provides diversity and cross‑cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities a permanent resident of Canada a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit
