The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Government Sales Executive to lead business development efforts within the Government of Canada, focusing on Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) and Solutions-Based Informatics Professional Services (SBIPS) supply arrangements.
This is a high-impact role for someone with a strong federal sales track record, exceptional relationship-building skills, and prior experience selling data analytics, cloud, application development/DevOps, or Power Platform solutions to government clients.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, leading RFP responses, and driving revenue growth across both staffing and solution-based professional services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with federal departments, agencies, and key industry partners.
- Identify opportunities to sell specialized technology services in data analytics (Microsoft Fabric), cloud infrastructure, application development/DevOps, and Power Platform.
- Represent the company at government and industry events.
RFP & Bid Management
- Lead end-to-end RFP, RFQ, and task authorization response processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals tailored to government client needs.
- Track and prioritize federal procurement opportunities via buyandsell.gc.ca, CanadaBuys, and other government channels.
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Growth
- Develop and execute strategies for winning new business across TBIPS and SBIPS supply arrangements.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified federal opportunities and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and propose solution-based projects where our expertise in analytics, cloud, and DevOps can add value.
Client & Partner Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to government clients, understanding their challenges and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate with systems integrators and consulting partners on joint bids and solution delivery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the Canadian federal IT services sector.
- Proven success navigating TBIPS/SBIPS, ProServices, and federal RFP/RFQ processes.
- Prior experience selling data analytics, cloud, application development/DevOps, or Power Platform solutions is strongly preferred.
- Strong network within federal departments (e.g., ISED, PSPC, SSC, CRA, ESDC, DND).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling proposal content.
- Experience working with small to mid-sized IT consulting or staffing firms is a plus.
