Application Information

As a Mechanical / Structural Designer, you should be comfortable working with a mining group, have a strong mechanical aptitude, desire to learn, and good problem solving and communication skills. As Mainstay is a growing company, the applicant should be willing to help define and adapt the role to fit with their needs and those of the company. The Piping / Mechanical Designer is responsible for assisting in the design and planning of a diverse range of engineering projects. You'll work closely with the engineering team to establish, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of the engineering effort to undertake and complete the technical engineering design in accordance with the project scope documents.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and other Designers to provide detailed design work and drafting for projects
• Prepare drawings for submission, as well as assist in the preparation of design calculations, technical reports, and project specifications
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure drawings and designs meet client and industry specifications, regulations and standards
• Develop design solutions that meet all applicable codes, standards, and regulations
