We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations and lead a team of four Warehouse Team Leaders within a highly regulated cannabis environment. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this role is instrumental in driving daily execution, optimizing inventory processes, and ensuring full compliance with Health Canada and CRA regulations under the Cannabis Act. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise in SAP, inventory control, process development and training. The successful candidate will drive inventory accuracy, coach and develop team leaders, implement SOPs and best practices, and provide operational and strategic support across Cannabis and Non‑Cannabis Warehouse Team.
What you’ll do
Leadership & People Management
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and performance management for four Warehouse Team Leaders and their respective Material Handler teams. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement through active leadership and development initiatives. Be visible and engaged on the warehouse floor to provide support, remove roadblocks, and enable team success.
Inventory Management & ERP Execution
Oversee all SAP‑driven inventory movements, including receiving, production support, internal transfers, and product storage. Ensure accurate inventory levels across all material types by maintaining a robust cycle count program, supported by data integrity within SAP and MRP. Conduct monthly inventory health checks in SAP, review KPIs and accuracy trends, and implement corrective action plans to address discrepancies ahead of year‑end audit activities.Project Management
Lead and support inventory‑related projects, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and timely execution.Compliance, SOPs & Documentation
Review and update Warehouse SOPs and work instructions as needed to reflect changes in operations or regulatory requirements. Support internal and external financial audits by ensuring inventory records, training logs, and operational procedures are compliant and audit‑ready.Reporting & Analytics
Report on inventory activities and variances daily, weekly, and monthly to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners. Analyse trends and develop insights into root causes of inventory inaccuracies or inefficiencies. Create Corrective Action Plans to address root causes and support year‑end physical inventory by maintaining complete documentation, training staff, and leading reconciliation efforts.Collaboration & Communication
Participate in daily operations meetings, providing warehouse‑related updates and guidance. Collaborate with Inventory Control, Supply Chain, QA, Production, Finance, and Internal Audit on inventory‑related initiatives, investigations, and process improvements.On‑the‑Floor Support
Maintain a regular presence on the warehouse floor to provide support and ensure SOPs and Work Instructions are being followed. Conduct regular process audits to ensure compliance and identify training or process improvement opportunities. Provide flexibility in supporting multiple areas of the warehouse operation as needed.Additional Duties
Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in special projects and company initiatives.Your Environment : (for production specific roles only)
Physically active role with frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). Exposure to allergens and fluctuating temperatures typical of a warehouse environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required during audit periods or peak inventory activity.Qualifications
6–8 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and processes improvement.Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role, with experience managing team leads and frontline staff.Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or combined years of experience and education.Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly SAP; experience with SAP inventory modules is a significant asset.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement SOPs, Work Instructions, and best practices.Experience leading audits and working within regulated environments, with strong understanding of SOX and Health Canada regulations under the Cannabis Act.Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, with a focus on inventory accuracy and process compliance.Proven leadership ability with experience in training, mentoring, and developing high‑performance teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.Ability to pass a clear Criminal Record Check.Salary Range : $70,000 - $80,000 (Stayner, Ontario
