POSITION SUMMARY
:Rehabilitation Aides work within rehabilitation programs in long term care, in acute care and in the community. Rehabilitation Aides carry out rehabilitation programs following the assessment, program development and delegation of intervention by a therapist or nurse with the goal to rehabilitate, maintain and optimize the client’s physical quality of life. The Rehabilitation Aide is supervised by the therapist or nurse for the throughout that client’s course of care in the program.
The Rehabilitation Aide is a member of a multidisciplinary team whose intervention services are provided in a Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) facility, the client’s home or community environment. Services provided include, but are not limited to, basic personal care and rehabilitation; supports for the client that are aimed at helping the client increase their level of mobility, independence with activities of daily living, community re-integration (if applicable) and maximize the client’s safety.
