About the role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our database environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role involves performing day-to-day database administration tasks, including backup and restore operations, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

What you’ll be working on

• Assist in the technical evaluation of new database versions and features.
• Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Implement and maintain database security.
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Assist developers to perform application tuning and performance monitoring.
• Manage and upgrade the relevant database schemas as needed by applications.
• Perform technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
• Providing day-to-day support and maintenance for key Oracle databases.
• Working with various teams to resolve performance and integrity issues.
• Work with other teams to implement changes to test and production environments.
• Ensuring proper backups are taken and responsible for any database recovery needed.
• Ability to function successfully in a highly stressful, 24x7 mission critical environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures for database management.
• Collaborate with application teams to support development and deployment activities.
• Technical knowledge related to SAN and LUNs, provisioning, and troubleshooting managed storage as needed.
• Perform database refreshes / restores from production to development and test environments as needed.
