Position : Bilingual Customer Service Professional

Work Type : Hybrid - Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday in office.

Location : Halifax, NS

Contract Duration : 02 / 03 / 2025 to 08 / 09 / 2025

Schedule Hours : Rotational shift, between 8 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.

Pay Rate : $25 / hr

Typical Day in Role

  • As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of customer service and meeting clients' needs including;
  • Answering inbound calls for 7 hours. Requests, which vary in complexity, come from internal or external clients.
  • Following up on group insurance plan files.
  • Monthly coaching with their leader
  • Weekly micro learning, role specific
  • Opportunity for in person collaboration (asking questions, communicating with colleagues, call debrief, call shadowing)

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :

1) Bilingual – fully bilingual in French and English (read / write / speak in French / English).

2) 5-7 years of customer service-related experience. Previous customer service experience in an information center, retail environment, or service sector.

3) Demonstrated problem solving skills

4) Tech Savvy, experience with Microsoft apps (Teams, Outlook, etc.)

  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Excels in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while staying calm and professional.
  • Enjoys continuous learning. You seek to discover new applications, products, or services and stay updated through support documents.
  • Technical abilities as well as exceptional research skills, and meticulousness. Demonstrated ability to learn and use various administrative systems simultaneously.
  • Able to work well within a team environment with reliability
  • Nice-To-Have Skills :

    1. Experience with a variety of different web based and computer applications

    2. Background in Group Benefits

    3. Previous experience in an information center is considered

    Education :

  • High School Diploma
  • No other schooling required, but College degree considered an asset
