Job descriptionWork Term : Permanent Work Language : English Hours : 40 hours per week Education : College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience

- Cut, shape and join timber pieces or assemble pre-cut timber pieces to make wooden boats
- Record information on products inspected
- Assemble prefabricated parts and sections of fibreglass, metal or other materials to form boats
- Change machinery attachments

- Caulk decks and hulls
- Monitor machine during operation
- Install trims, rudders, seats, engine mounts and other accessories
- Repair boats
- Inspect assembled boats for defects and conformance to quality standards
- Mark defects to be repaired
- Affix seal or tags to approved products
- Check manufactured items for defects and conformance to specifications
- Complete reports on product inspection
- Load, feed or place materials into machine
- Operate machine to fabricate parts and products
- Return defective products for repair or recycle
- Sand, trim, grind or clean products into final form using hand tools
- Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products
- Cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and components
