TopHat HR is partnering with a dynamic SaaS company that delivers innovative solutions to help businesses automate and scale their operations. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join their team and support the company’s legal and compliance functions.
In this role, you will assist with contract management, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day legal operations , helping ensure legal workflows run smoothly across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :
1. Contract Operations & Legal Workflow Ownership
- Own the day-to-day operation of Legal workflows , including customer, partner, and vendor contracts.
- Manage agreements through their full operational lifecycle, including :
- Preparation using approved templates
- Internal coordination and routing
- Tracking status, renewals, expirations, and follow-ups
- Take over routine contract operations currently handled by Legal & Compliance , with clear escalation paths for non-standard or higher-risk matters.
- Serve as the first-line triage point for legal requests from internal teams.
- Assess requests against established SOPs, playbooks, and “safe-to-handle” frameworks.
- Independently handle standard agreements, template-based documents and pre-approved clause variations
- Identify and elevate matters requiring substantive legal review, negotiation or counterparty discussion, risk assessment, deviation from approved standards
3. Legal Request Workflow Management
Own and maintain the legal request workflow , including : tracking incoming requests, managing prioritization and status, and coordinating timelines with internal stakeholdersAct as a central coordination point between Legal and cross-functional teams to ensure requests do not stall due to missing information, unclear ownership, or lack of follow-up.Ensure escalations are well-prepared, clearly summarized, and efficiently handed off.4. Administrative & Cross-Functional Legal Support
Provide general administrative and operational support to the Legal function, including : deadline tracking and diarization, document organization and version control, maintaining trackers, logs, and shared foldersCoordinate with Sales, Partnerships, CS, Ops, Finance, and HR on legal-related processes and timelines.Support compliance-related administration (e.g., collecting, organizing, and updating required documents) under Legal & Compliance oversight.5. Process Discipline & Operational Consistency
Execute Legal SOPs consistently and accurately.Flag recurring issues, inefficiencies, or workflow gaps for Legal & Compliance awareness.Ensure smooth and organized operational processes so Legal & Compliance can focus on substantive legal work rather than administrative clean-upWhat We’re Looking For :
