The Opportunity :
We’re looking for an experienced Program Manager to take the lead on exciting new product launches — from concept to production. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind cross‑functional teams, making sure every program hits its targets on timing, budget, and quality. What You’ll Be Doing :
- Oversee new and revised programs from business award to successful production launch.
- Lead APQP teams, ensuring launches are completed on time, on budget, and to spec.
- Supervise Project and Design Engineers, keeping development and design activities on track.
- Work directly with customers to provide DFM / DFA feedback and feasibility improvements.
- Manage all program documentation — drawings, BOMs, change notices, and project history — to keep everything organized and audit‑ready.
- Coordinate prototype and production sample submissions, ensuring all quality and testing data are completed on time.
- Support production readiness by coordinating facility changes, new equipment installations, and packaging requirements.
- Participate in design and readiness reviews, and be hands‑on during build events and launch activities.
- Partner with purchasing and quality teams to manage sub‑suppliers and tooling vendors.
- Oversee tooling design, build, trials, and production sign‑off.
- Drive continuous improvement through cost‑reduction initiatives and process enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively during launch.
- Support post‑launch engineering changes and ongoing program improvements.
- Travel regularly to customer, supplier, and tooling partner sites to keep things moving smoothly.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful :
A degree or diploma in Engineering.At least 5 years of program management experience and 5 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.Solid background in injection molding, painting, and assembly processes.Strong knowledge of automotive exterior plastic components.Hands‑on experience launching programs with major OEMs.Strong understanding of APQP principles, GD&T, and ADVP&R.Excellent communication and organizational skills — you know how to keep teams aligned and motivated.Comfortable using MS Office, Project, and database tools (macros are a plus).A valid passport and the ability to travel within North America and internationally as needed.Seniority level
