Job descriptionVarious locations Professionalism in customer service Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Accident or incident reports Bill of lading Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Maintenance and repair reports Trip reports Citizens band (CB) radio Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Trip recorder (on-board computer) Driving record check (abstract) Valid driver's licence Willing to travel for extended periods Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Steel-toed safety boots Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Group insurance benefits Life insurance Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit
