Position Responsibilities :

  • The following list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties rather they are intended to only describe the nature of the Areas of responsibility :
  • Oversees Recruitment, interview, reference checks, orientation, set up of new plant employees into Dayforce.
  • Provide HR admin support to plant management Team where possible
  • Monitor and maintain attendance program, prepare letters, reports etc.
  • Assist to ensure all job descriptions are kept up-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant laws / regulations for all positions.
  • Works closely with Plant HR Manager / Supervisor, and Corporate HR,
  • Administer and ensure consistency with CA where applicable.
  • Maintain employee files, both electronic and hard copies
  • Keep all HR related filing up to date
  • Ensures consistency of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support OH& S coordinator and claims management
  • Other duties as required.

Required Education and Experience :

  • Post-Secondary diploma in Human Resources, or business or related field preferable.
  • Minimum 1 year of related administrative experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Employment Standards / labour law an asset
  • Previous experience in unionized manufacturing work environment preferred.
  • High sense of urgency, well organized and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, when required.
  • Previous experience with Ceridian / Dayforce an asset.

Please note that the expected new hire salary range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sunrise Farms. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
