Agilus is recruiting for a Commissioning Supervisor in the Oil and gas industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Our client in Mannville, Alberta has immediate need for a Commissioning Supervisor for a full time, 3-month contract with possibility of extension. The successful candidate will support Commissioning Manager to prepare detailed schedule of the commissioning and start-up activities according to the project schedule. Responsibilities :
- Support commissioning manager in commissioning of utility scale wind, solar, hydro and geothermal projects ensuring compliance with the schedule and the safety procedures and quality standards required
- Support Commissioning Manager to preparation of the detailed plans of assembly and commissioning, according to the existing basic plan of the project
- Support Commissioning Manager to prepare and document commissioning and energization procedures, including Permit to Work and Isolation Certificate when requested
- Technical coordination within the team made from Owner and contractors' personnel
- Visual inspection and functional testing of any equipment and assembled system prior to the commissioning tests (including reliability, performance and Grid compliance tests)
- Support Commissioning Manager to managing the list of the required documentation for what may regard the commissioning (as built and final), for handover to the Operation and Maintenance Units and for the official application, in order to credit the production incentives
- Supervise the tests relating to the commissioning of High, Medium and Low voltage equipment / electrical systems according to the regulations of generators, power transformers, substations, low and medium voltage motors, control panels and distribution, power electronics equipment (rectifiers and inverters) and batteries connected to it, calibration of protection relays, SCADA (and all connected systems, i.e. Local Control Room, TSO Control Room, PI), WTGs, CUs, and general machinery of the plant
- Commissioning activities reporting on daily and weekly base. According to Enel commissioning standards. All reports to be delivered to Enel Commissioning Manager / Leader referent for the project
Requirements :
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with demonstrated work experience providing high level engineering support in the power generation industry is desirable, however not requiredKnowledge of bench test instruments and test methodologies (Testing methods and instrumentation)Knowledge of machineries, equipment and appliances used within the commissioning sectorGood knowledge of grid requirements for energization, synchronization and operation of renewable power plantsGood knowledge of SCADA and communication protocols used within the commissioning sectorGood knowledge of electrical safety standards and construction safety and environmental managementGood knowledge of the logic of electrical equipment protection (protection logic of electrical machinery) and related instrumentationExperience using Excel, Word, Power Point and MS-ProjectWhat's in it for you :
