About our Client
Our client is a leading supplier of industrial tools specializing in abrasives and cutting tools in Canada. They are looking for an HR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR to join their team based in Surrey (Port Kells), BC on a permanent basis.
The HR Payroll Administrator is responsible for administering, processing, and submitting payroll accurately and on time, as well as the human resources administrator.

Responsibilities
- Administer the organization’s semi-monthly payroll processing for all employees, through Dayforce.
- Ensuring employees are paid according to their employment contracts, company policies and
- government legislative requirements.
- Verify and calculate employee hours and overtime are accurate. Assist managers with troubleshooting timesheets. Includes entering overtime, overtime banking,
- hourly employees and timesheets past pay period cut-off.
- Perform calculations for payroll items, including but not limited to payroll deductions and
- remittances.
- Processing all taxable benefits ensuring proper compliance with legislation.
- Process salary increases, and other required payroll changes.
- Calculate and pay commissions monthly based on requirements.
- Calculate and pay bonuses quarterly and annually based on requirements.
- Process and submit ROEs through Dayforce, when required.
- Perform reviews of payroll inputs and outputs to identify payroll issues or discrepancies to ensure
- compliance and accuracy. This may include, but is not limited to wage changes, retroactive
- adjustments, deductions, incorrect / missing authorizations or Timesheets, garnishments, termination
- pay, etc.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, managers, and external government agencies.
- Maintain records of inquiries, complaints, and resolutions.
Qualifications
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is mandatory and must be maintained.
- Minimum 3 years experience in full-cycle payroll administration required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in HR functions such as recruitment, training, compliance,
- administration.
- Post-secondary education in human resources is an asset.
- Experience in working with multi-jurisdictional payroll is an asset. Specifically, BC, AB, SK, and MB.
- Experience working with Ceridian’s Dayforce system is an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft application skills and extensive working knowledge of Excel. Including basic
- formulas, IF functions, Vlookup, and pivot tables, etc.
