Roska DBO Inc. is currently seeking a Full-Time HVAC Engineer (P.Eng.) to work out of our customer’s downtown Calgary office. The HVAC Engineer is responsible for detailed design and engineering support for HVAC systems in industrial buildings, providing expertise throughout all project phases, including procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, start-up, and final handover. This is a 12–18 month minimum term role, (Monday–Friday, 8 hours / day).
Key Experience
- Minimum 10 years of HVAC engineering experience
- Strong experience with industrial building HVAC design and layout, including pump houses
- Experience with HVAC system sizing, ductwork, air handling units, ventilation, and controls
- Ability to develop HVAC design documentation, layouts, and specifications
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirementsPerform detailed HVAC engineering activities to deliver high-quality, constructible designsDevelop HVAC system layouts, ductwork and piping designs, equipment schedules, and technical documentationCollaborate with engineers, operations, and project teams to ensure design criteria, constructability, and operational requirements are metCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project scope, cost, and schedule objectivesEnsure designs are constructible in the field with minimal revisionsSupport cost estimate and project schedule developmentComply with the Project Quality Management System and applicable HVAC standardsManage scope and support formal change management processes when requiredEnsure HVAC designs align with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standardsQualifications
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 10 years of HVAC engineering experience for industrial applicationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environmentLegally entitled to work in CanadaAbout Roska DBO Inc.
