  • Respond to alarms, service calls, tickets, and operational disruptions to support emergency response and maintain occupant safety.
  • Maintain detailed operational records, shift logs, and system adjustments to ensure continuity.
  • Maintain, service, inspect, and repair mechanical, heating, cooling, and pressure systems.
  • Conduct routine and detailed inspections to detect wear, performance degradation, equipment faults, excessive vibration, and safety or regulatory compliance issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance following PM schedules, task checklists, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practice.

  • Complete corrective repairs within scope and escalated complex issues.
  • Monitor inventory of tools, consumables, and parts and coordinate reordering as needed.
  • Support capital and operational projects involving mechanical, heating, cooling, and pressure system upgrades, replacements, and retrofits.
  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with codes, drawings, specifications, and best practices.
  • Review and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installations and integration with existing systems.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance system performance, energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

What You Bring

  • Completion of a high school diploma, 4th Class Power Engineering certification, and a minimum of 3 years post‑certification experience in building operations.
  • Proficiency in operating plant systems, equipment, tools, and building automation systems.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and maintenance management systems. Formal training or certification in energy management and efficiency is considered an asset.
  • Dependable, safety‑conscious individual with strong technical knowledge of mechanical, heating, cooling, and pressure systems.
  • Self‑motivated able to work independently and collaboratively in an efficiency‑focused operational environment, exercising sound judgment and initiative.

  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to preventive maintenance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • What We Offer

  • Generous inclusive benefits including retirement benefits plan.
  • Earned time off program, paid vacation, and personal care leave.
