Job Responsibilities
- Wire electrical panels and subassemblies to be installed into automation machines
- Mount electrical components, wireway, cable tray and mechanical components associated with electrical devices
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control circuits
- Assemble automation & robotic systems in accordance with assembly and detail drawings and supporting documents
- Read engineering drawings
- Field Service & Machine Installations – as applicable
- Familiar with mechanical, fluid, and pneumatic systems
- Work in a team environment with the guidance of the Electrical Build Leader and Production Supervisor
- Maintain direct communication with Electrical and Mechanical Assembly Supervisors
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Personal tools requiredMust be able to read an electrical schematicMust possess the knowledge and ability to modify components to ensure proper fit, tension, clearances, and overall working limits of the machinery or equipmentMust have a good working knowledge in electrical / mechanical assembly techniques and be proficient in working with hydraulic and pneumatic componentsEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teamsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and codesProficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprintsExperience with PLC programming and HMI interfacesMust be capable of working with engineering documentationCritical thinking / problem solvingCommitment to being a team player with a flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems, schedules and changesMaintain a clean and safe environment3 - 5 years’ experience in machine building industryUphold SPM standards as prescribedRequirements
High school diploma, GED or equivalentCompletion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship programValid journeyman electrician licenseSeniority level
