Job Description

Our client, a leading company in the construction materials industry, is currently seeking a Bilingual HR Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

This dynamic role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days on-site, and presents excellent opportunities for professional growth

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensures a safe work environment and supports organizational safety objectives.
  • Manages HR system activities and serves as point of contact between ABS and business units.
  • Supports various HR functions such as labor relations, learning & development, and recruitment.
  • Manages and maintains HR records and central HR systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinates new hire administrative processes and employee onboarding.
  • Provides training on HR systems for HR and line managers as needed.
  • Facilitates timely processing of HR transactions in SAP / SuccessFactors.
  • Supports Talent Acquisition team and ensures consistency in HR activities.
  • Updates and manages relevant content on the intranet.
  • Acts as liaison for Eastern Canada on HR system updates.
  • Provides support to field Pay Agents and ensures compliance with HR processes.
  • Facilitates payroll processes and trains managers and employees on time entry system.
  • Collaborates closely with HR team members and HR Shared Services.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of administration experience, preferably in HR support within a large, multi-location organization.
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluency in French is a requirement.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, database querying, and reporting, particularly in SuccessFactors.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other software.
  • Experience in multi-location and multi-union environments preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with a focus on efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong emphasis on customer focus, business acumen, and effective time management.
