What you do at AMD changes everything
As a Rack-Level IO Diagnostics Engineer, you will be responsible for scoping feature test requirements, creating diagnostic coverage plans, implementing and automating test content, and debugging customer issues. You will interact with silicon design, board engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams across AMD.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver forward-thinking IP, board, and rack-level diagnostic strategy.
- Translate high-level requirements into comprehensive diagnostic test coverage with desired metrics and detailed test items.
- Develop diagnostics test content during pre-silicon work, verify critical features on emulation environments to reduce post-silicon risk.
- Conduct post-silicon work, including silicon bring-up, test execution, issue debugging, and optimizing test time without sacrificing coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet key program milestones such as bring-up, feature enablement, performance profiling, production support, and customer issue debugging.
- Drive continuous improvement of diagnostic coverage, code quality, and development processes.
- Lead test innovation and strategic initiatives based on learning from prior programs and best practices.
Preferred Experience
Experience developing automation software for silicon / system / cluster-level validation.Expertise in silicon / system test methodologies.Solid understanding of HW / FW / SW interaction and system-level engineering.Proficiency in programming / scripting languages (e.g., C / C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).Deep knowledge of low-level software and system-level debugging, with ability to quickly identify problems and provide robust solutions.Technical leadership experience in a large, fast-paced environment.Understanding of AI infrastructure and experience in the ML / AI space.ROCm software development experience is a plus.Good understanding of x86 / ARM architecture and experience with BIOS, GPU, PCIe firmware development is a plus.Self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented, and results-oriented.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Academic Credentials
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.Location
