TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Electrical Designer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:

• Support field teams with design clarifications and respond to RFIs during construction.
• Review vendor documentation and equipment data to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback and resolving design issues as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and support procurement with technical input.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to project deliverables in accordance with quality standards and schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers and other designers to develop electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare and revise 2D electrical drawings and contribute to 3D model development using industry-standard CAD tools.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design within industrial sectors (e.g., mining, oil & gas, energy, or heavy infrastructure).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SmartPlant, or similar CAD platforms; familiarity with 3D model review tools is an asset.
• Solid understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., CSA, NEC, IEEE).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Knowledge of bulk material handling systems or power distribution in industrial settings is an asset.
