We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Training & Development to join our People First HR Services (PFHR) team in Winnipeg.

This position plays a key role in leading and delivering people and culture solutions to our clients across a breadth of organizations nationally.

Reporting to the Director, Strategic HR Consulting, this senior position will be ideal for a seasoned HR professional who is highly driven, seeks variety & challenge, who possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, and who has a strong commitment to the client experience.

The Senior Consultant, Training & Development will :

  • Oversee projects focused on people and culture solutions to clients across Canada.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to organizations requiring strategic Human Resource solutions such as : Training & Development, Employee Engagement, Coaching & Assessments, Investigations and Total Rewards / Compensation.
  • Establish goals and implementation plans to achieve high-quality deliverables within expected timeframes.
  • Develop analysis (sometimes complex) based on client and market data.
  • Identify and resolve issues critical to your clients' strategic and operational success.
  • Leverage analytics and industry insights to provide our clients with business-focused solutions.
  • Generate qualitative and quantitative analysis using data from a variety of sources.
  • Design talent management solutions to achieve the desired organizational objectives / needs.
  • Deliver presentations, workshops and client training around product solutions.
  • Cross-collaborate with other team members and divisions to ensure we are innovating and delivering the highest level of service to our clients.
  • Strategize and formulate business plans.
  • Engage in business development activities, networking, and client relationship management to ensure the continued growth of the division and to continue to develop the strategic HR portfolio.

To be successful as a Senior Consultant, Training & Development with People First HR Services (PFHR), you will need :

  • 7 years’ experience in HR or management consulting (you are a critical thinker with a strong understanding of Human Resources and all that it encompasses).
  • Experience facilitating training and developing training programs required.
  • You’re a team player and have the proven ability to foster relationships at all levels of the organization and be able to prioritize events, tasks, activities, and meet deadlines in an extremely fast paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with teams of varying sizes that work with tight deadlines and with a high standard quality of work.
  • The ability to anticipate the short and long-term impact of decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving.
  • You have strong business acumen, with ability to quickly translate concepts into practical outcomes that deliver business value.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a sense of leadership.
  • Aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to apply logic and experience to assist with the development of solutions for clients.
  • You are solutions-oriented, placing a strong emphasis on consultation and collaboration to build strong and effective partnerships.
  • You are a lifelong learner - always open to learning and expanding your skills.
  • You are detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple / complex projects and work towards tight deadlines, including last-minute changes, and alignment of resources to ensure priorities are met.
  • Occasional travel is required.
