Position : Nurse Practitioner
Location : Stuarts Draft VA 24477
Duration : 9 / 30 / 24 - 10 / 25 / 24 (Contract with possibility to extend)
Pay : $65 - 70 / hr
Schedule : 06 : 30 am to 4 pm Mon Thurs, 06 : 30 am to 12 : 30 pm on Friday
Summary :
The Nurse Practitioner serves children ages six years and plus.
Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of the Physician.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs.
Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition. Provides written home-going instructions.
Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
Maintains medical records using EPIC
Educates and coaches nursing staff on best nursing practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements :
At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary care, Urgent care, family practice, or a similar setting
Must be comfortable with primary care, diabetes, and hypertension.
Experience with EPIC is a PLUS
Must have an active BLS
Must have an active NP License in Virginia
