Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-lines Claims Adjuster to join our team remotely in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Responsibilities
Evaluates property (commercial and residential) and casualty claims through loss investigation and negotiates settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.
- Interviewing claimants and witnesses
- Obtaining official documents
- Comparing claims information with evidence
- Determination of liability
- Makes offer to claimants
- Issue cheque
- Dispose of salvage
- Pursue subrogation
- Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files, including presentation of evidence at legal proceedings
- Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records
- Work with manager to maintain client relations
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years functional and technical claims handling experience in an insurance environment
- Post Secondary education in an insurance related field considered an asset
- Licensed and / or CIP designation
- Experience in road adjusting including the investigation and detailed reporting of both property and casualty claims
- Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis required
- Computer and reporting skills including Office 365
- Bilingual in French would be considered an asset
- Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
