General Labourer

The general laborer position, located in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, will be responsible for handling tires, moving them from one area of the plant to conveyor, and loading the tires onto the belt.

Location : Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Pay Rate : Base hourly rate of $16.50 / hour plus Evening, Overnight and Weekend shift premiums ( $19 / hour average with premiums included)

Shift Schedule : 12-hr days / nights / weekends (7-7 for 160 hours per month)

Assignment Length - Four months (End date approximately December 30, 2024)

Responsibilities

General laborer is responsible for :

• following safety and quality procedures to move product in a manufacturing environment
• Handling and stacking tires, and moving them to another area of the plant to be loaded on to a conveyor
• Lifting, pulling and pushing tires repetitively (30-50lbs)
• Other general labor and physical labor tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or labour experience is an asset
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Capable of working 12 hour shifts, including night shifts and weekends
• Comfortable with operation of Forklift (training provided)
• Able to work in a team or autonomously (with little supervision)
• Able to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
