Machine Operator Edgebander

The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing process. This role includes setting up machines monitoring production performing quality checks and ensuring that products meet specifications. The Machine Operator supports production flow contributes to cross-functional teamwork and upholds high standards for safety efficiency and product quality.

Reports to : Director Langley Manufacturing

What Youll Be Doing :

• Load raw materials onto the equipment manually or with lifting equipment for larger sheet goods ensuring proper handling procedures and safe lifting procedures are followed.
• Utilize machine software (Edge bander Beam saw etc.) with expertise demonstrating expert level understanding of advanced computer functions and system navigation.
• Maintain a clear understanding of the door and laminated panels manufacturing process and ensure workflow remains organized and clearly identified. Apply training to safely and effectively operate assigned machinery including performing basic program adjustments as required.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives to develop competency on additional equipment within the department.
• Follow all health and safety regulations including reporting hazards near misses or incidents immediately.
