Our client is a global manufacturer of medical devices and diagnostic equipment with operations throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
Due to the growth of the manufacturing operation, we are now hiring for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a P.Eng designation to join the team in Vancouver BC, reporting to the Operations Leader of the facility.
Full relocation assistance is available for those moving from outside of the area.
Key responsibilities include :
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 Engineers, driving a culture of cross functional collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support to the Production, Quality Assurance and Product Development Engineering teams.
- Sustain and support Manufacturing Engineering aspects on the production lines within the facility.
- Define NPI project timelines, set priorities, and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in making informed technical decisions, staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging technology.
- Create and execute verification and validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, FMEA), of product equipment, processes, and designs Review and update work instructions, ATP's, travelers, and other internal documentation.
- Ensure compliance International Standards : ISO13485, Canadian Medical Device Regulations (CMDR, SOR 98-292), FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR, 21 CFR Part 820) and the Medical Device Directive (MDD93 / 42 / EEC).
Experience and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
- P.Eng designation (essential)
- 3 + years in a leadership or managerial role in a manufacturing environment
- 7 + years experience in a manufacturing or equivalent engineering environment
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as medical device, aerospace, automotive or similar.
