Truck Driver

Dass Metal Products is looking for an experienced AZ Flatbed Driver to work out of our facility in Vaughan, ON. The successful candidate will work between 40 - 44 hours per week.

AZ Driver (Flatbed) Responsibilities :

Transporting goods safely to and from specified locations.

Maintaining an accurate record of all pick-ups and drop-offs, rest periods, mileage covered, fuel consumption.

Appropriately planning driving routes to ensure that goods are delivered to customers in a timely manner.

Regularly inspecting and maintaining the company truck to ensure that it is roadworthy.

Regularly communicating with company dispatchers to inform them of completed deliveries and delays.

Washing and cleaning the company truck as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Promptly notifying the supervisor of any major mechanical issues, traffic violations, and accidents involving the company truck.

Shunt trailers at main facility to meet internal production requirements

Help load trucks and ensure loads checklists are completed accurately prior to delivery

Ensure all paperwork for loads is accurate and properly accounted for

Interact with customers in a professional manner.

Report any incidents or accidents immediately.

Adhere to company speed policies.

AZ Driver Requirements :

Valid AZ driver's license with 3 years of experience

Clean drivers abstract

Proven experience driving heavy trucks hauling steel and parts is preferred

Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.

The ability to concentrate for extended periods.

The ability to utilize GPS devices and road maps.

Strong driving skills.

Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

Effective communication skills.
