Public Relations Manager
Description
The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for helping to achieve residential and commercial sales goals in the US and Canada through strategic content planning and placement as well as by engaging important audience segments across key events and all earned media channels.

- Planning public relations strategically.
- Establishing, building, and cultivating connections / relationships with media in the US and Canada.
- Harnessing the strongest share of coverage in key industry trade publications.
- Generating awareness of IKO roofing products / brands in the US and Canada among residential and commercial trade audiences.
- Measuring and reporting performance of all PR and assessing against goals (ROI / KPIs). To include but not limited to the following : Total impressions Ad Equivalency Number of placements Share of placements / impressions Consumer vs.
Trade impressions Digital vs. Print impressions Blogger placements / rankings.
- Collaborating with IKO’s social media agency and internal stakeholders on combined content creation and execution
- Attending trade shows for media management (IBS / IRE / RoofTech / Western States and whatever other virtual trade show opportunities present themselves)
- Providing post-show follow-up and ongoing outreach to help tell the IKO brand story, drive media coverage and increase impressions.
- Attending Media event planning, blogger outreach, influencer engagement, by-lined articles, corporate communications support, communication training for teammates throughout the company, and ongoing analytics to track campaign investment across established KPIs and benchmarks Help cultivate social media ambassadors among contractor members of IKO Loyalty programs.
- Contributing to annual social media / PR / ORM strategic planning Support marketing service managers, loyalty program personnel, and sales management to develop product or program launch videos, announcements, and presentation materials.
Support paid media efforts with measurable trade placements as measured in ad equivalency.
- OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
- Bachelor’s degree in business / Marketing or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of trade marketing experience, preferably in the building materials or roofing industries.
- Trade industry and / or agency experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL;
- Up to 20% local and international travel
