The Ideal Candidate :

We're seeking a candidate who has previous experience working in a lumber yard or warehouse setting. Your skills may include organizing, handling lumber, and operating equipment such as forklifts.

You should also be comfortable with heavy lifting and prepared to work in a dynamic and sometimes dusty warehouse environment.

Additionally please note that this is an outdoor job and although forklifts are heated you must be prepared to brave the elements

Multiple start times available morning, afternoon and evening

Starting Wage : Beginning at $21-23 per hour.

Please note that this location is NOT accessible by public transit.

Responsibilities

What will your daily responsibilities look like?

• Working OUTSIDE in a yard setting
• Duties will be split between operating the counterbalance forklift and material handling majority of the day
• Wrapping skids; getting materials to be bundled - material handling
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Any other warehouse and yard duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven previous experience (min. 1 year) operating a large capacity forklift in a manufacturing, production or lumber yard setting

Forklift certificate is an asset not a requirement

MUST -

• Be comfortable and willing to work outdoors
• Attention to detail and high awareness of surroundings
• Ability to work in a busy and noisy environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
• Ability to work in a dusty production environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
• Access to reliable transportation - this location is NOT transit accessible
• Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts Monday to Friday
