The Restaurant General Manager will work with the Franchise Owner and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store. Reporting to the Owner, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the store. You will be a role model, leader, and must solve problems, make informed decisions, and manage the workforce and time wisely to achieve maximum results.
Responsibilities
- Assist with effective and profitable operation of restaurant location.
- Assist General Manager with daily operations of casual dining restaurant with 5 to 10 staff per shift.
- Provide highest level of customer service, including handling customer service issues at location level.
- Conduct orientation, train and coach all Customer Service Employees in daily tasks.
- Ensure compliance with payroll budgets.
- Assist kitchen staff during rush hours.
- Place orders with vendors in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory and staff hours per budget.
- Monitor accuracy of receiving, transfers, debits / damages, and charge-backs to HQ.
- Help solve problems affecting the store's service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Report incidents or issues immediately to Manager or Regional Manager.
- Supervise security of store.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers.
- Exercise judgment and discretion in day-to-day operations.
Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hospitality / restaurant management.College Diploma in a related field (asset).Ability to work full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Preferred experience in restaurant industry.Ability to manage a fast-paced facility handling multi-million dollar sales volume per year.Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships, and utilize skills appropriately.Identify opportunities to maximize revenues and guest satisfaction.Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and procedures.Collaborate with teammates to ensure good operating practices and procedures.Provide team leadership and coaching, performance appraisals.Ensure appropriate on-the-job training and direction for brand products.Maintain fair, consistent standards for workforce.Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in fast-paced environment.Coordinate operation of all equipment necessary to run store effectively.Excellent people skills and superb customer service skills.Benefits
