Business Intelligence Reporting Developer (Contract)

Location : New Westminster, BC, Hybrid (1-2 days onsite)

About the Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a large-scale enterprise transformation within a public sector transportation organization. As a Business Intelligence Reporting Developer, you’ll support a major Enterprise Asset Management, Supply Chain, and Financial Systems implementation that will shape how data is used across the organization for years to come.

Working as part of a collaborative project and reporting team, you’ll partner closely with project managers, report leads, data engineers, and business stakeholders. Your work will directly support operational, analytical, and executive decision-making during a critical system implementation and go-live phase.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, IBM Cognos Analytics, SAP Crystal Reports, and Excel.
• In this role, you’ll collaborate with data engineers and architects to consume data from warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, and operational source systems.
• You’ll translate business requirements into effective technical reporting solutions and curated datasets.
• You’ll migrate legacy Crystal Reports to Cognos and Power BI while ensuring performance and accuracy.
• You’ll develop KPIs, calculations, and business logic, ensuring consistency across platforms.
• You’ll support system testing, UAT, deployments, and user training activities.
