Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced and highly capable Project Engineer to provide technical leadership and Owner oversight across a portfolio of SAGD development projects. This role is critical in ensuring project scope is delivered safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with strategic, operational, and financial objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, EPC partners, and site operations to advance projects from early development through execution, commissioning, and handover.

Project Delivery & Oversight
Partner with the Project Manager and functional groups-including Engineering, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Operations, Maintenance, and HSE-to ensure project scope is delivered on intent, on time, and on budget.Provide Owner oversight of EPC contractors, ensuring adherence to CPNA standards, procedures, and scope requirements.Support pre-FID sustaining development projects and serve as an E&C representative on early-stage evaluations.Participate in project peer reviews, stage-gate assessments, and assurance processes.Engineering Leadership
Lead the development of project execution strategies, plans, and technical scopes of work for engineering services and contract packages.Collaborate with EPC contractors on design development and ensure alignment with project requirements and best practices.Facilitate and contribute to design reviews, ensuring technical quality, constructability, and operational readiness.Review design standard variances and support value engineering initiatives.Documentation & Compliance
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including execution plans, decision records, schedules, meeting minutes, and scopes of work.Facilitate Management of Change (MOC), Operational Readiness Reviews, PSSR, and Lessons Learned activities.Construction, Commissioning & Start-Up
Coordinate C&SU activities with project teams and site operations.Oversee well conversions, completions, and integration with facility and site work scopes.Support seamless project handover to Operations and assist with close-out requirements.Financial & Reporting Support
Review progress reports from contractors and endorse invoices for services as required.Prepare high-quality presentations and communication materials-both technical and non-technical-for executives, stakeholders, and project teams.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical.Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) in good standing with APEGA.5-15 years of project engineering or project management experience, ideally within SAGD developments (well pads, flowlines, and central processing facilities).Oil sands project execution experience strongly preferred.Experience in process facility construction and / or commissioning and start-up (C&SU).Working knowledge of SAGD processing, fabrication, plant layout, and equipment design.Experience in pressure vessel and piping design, as well as sizing pressure relief devices and control valves, is considered an asset.Field experience is an advantage.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, make timely business decisions, and adapt to changing conditions.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.Deep understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilitiesMu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaAre you interested in this position?
