What you will be doing :
Actively seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to support next-generation vehicle development through advanced Driving Simulator–based ride & handling evaluations. This role is ideal for an engineer who loves digging into suspension, steering, and full-vehicle dynamics and wants to directly influence how future vehicles feel on the road.
You'll run the day-to-day operations of the Driving Simulator, supporting cross-functional product teams in subjective and objective evaluations of Vehicle Dynamic models. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement by developing SOPs, tools, and methodologies that elevate how the simulator is utilized across programs.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain the Driving Simulator for development teams
- Support suspension & steering kinematics and compliance optimization
- Provide subjective & objective vehicle dynamics assessments when needed
- Develop SOPs, tools, and methods to enhance simulator usage
- Analyze results and present findings to engineering leadership
- Collaborate closely with other vehicle dynamics and product development functions
What you'll need to be successful :
Essential :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering (ABET accredited or equivalent)years of vehicle dynamics simulation experience — preference for ADAMS / Car or CarSimExperience with Matlab, Simulink, Python or similar tools for automated analysisHands-on knowledge of suspension & steering kinematics, compliance, ride, and handlingSolid understanding of vehicle dynamics theory & applicationStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsPreferred :
Master's degree (Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace)Experience in a Driving Simulator environmentFamiliarity with VI CarRealtime, VI DriveSim, and SimWorkbenchStrong analytical ability to translate complex test data into executive-level insightsExperience developing objective test methods and metricsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsWhat you'll get :
