Manufacturing Technician (Biotech)
Our client, a growing biotech company, is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Technician. This position reports to the Production Manager.
- Program and operate AKTA liquid chromatography systems;
- Purify enzymes using the AKTA purification system and performs in-process analyses;
- Homogenize cells and clarify lysate using separation systems;
- Concentrate process fluids using tangential flow filtration devices and formulate reagents;
- Prepare buffers, reagents and solutions required for downstream purification, etc.;
- Write batch production and buffer formulation records, SOPs, validation protocols and batch summary reports;
- Execute processes and document required production information;
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and execute approved projects;
- Participate in the investigation of discrepancies.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's in Life Sciences;
- 5 years of experience in biotechnology or industrial pharmaceuticals;
- Experience with the AKTA liquid chromatography system;"Experience with UNICORN software;
- Practical experience in the operation of purification equipment;
- Experience in protein purification (IEX, HIC, AF, etc.);
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs;
- Working knowledge of MS Office;
- Driver's license and vehicle (to travel between company facilities);.
- Bilingual.
