Job Description

We are sourcing Mechanical Engineers for our client. These roles will involve design, analysis and qualification of structures, systems and components for various Bruce Power projects.

Work Location : Kincardine, ON

Duration : 1 year with the possibility of extension

Qualifications

10+ Year of Experience in the nuclear industry, ideally with Design qualifications relevant to Bruce Power.

• Experience in system engineering and design review processes.
• Experience in manufacturing and constructability methods.
• Ability to support design and constructability review meetings.
• Working knowledge and understanding of CSA N285.0, CSA B51, CSA N299 / Z299, ASME BPVC.
• Familiarity with CSA S16, CSA N289, National Building Code of Canada, ASME B30.20.
• Familiarity with engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MicroShield.
• Ability to prepare and / or provide critical peer review of various engineering calculations and reports.
• Bruce Power ECC experience and ability to navigate in Maximo is preferred. Detailed oriented, having the ability to professionally debate, reason and to demonstrate technical capability in relations to colleagues, supervisors and customer.
• Bruce Power OE / ADE qualification is preferred.
• Ability of work well with senior engineers and other disciplines. Ability to respond rapidly to changing demands. Ability and willingness to self-reflect and course correct during various design stages preparation, to overcome barriers and meet project quality and deadlines
