Full‑time (0.70 FTE), Anticipated start 02 / 16 / 2026. Anticipated Shift : Days. Work Arrangement : In Person. Daily Hours Worked : 5.42. Annual Base Hours : 2015. Salary range : $27,782 – $33,178.
Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Charge Technologist or designate, the Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) is responsible for assisting the laboratory in its role of sample triaging, accessioning, and processing of specimens. The MLA may also perform some basic routine procedures according to established protocols and performs phlebotomies according to departmental policy. The MLA will maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines, ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, and maintain standards put forth by accreditation. Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures, and applicable legislation.
