Shipper
MaxSys Staffing is currently hiring Shippers for a steel manufacturing / electronics warehouse in Mississauga, near Courtney Park.
THIS POSITION IS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENTS AND CANADIAN CITIZENS ONLY ABSOLUTELY NO STUDENTS
Shift : Mornings : Monday to Friday, 8am to 4 : 30pm
Pay Rate : $20 / hour PLEASE NOTE : Separate interview with client required after registrationMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Send customer orders through a variety of shipment couriers
- Pack parts in boxes, ensuring there is sufficient padding to prevent damage
- Tape and secure boxes / strap skids
- Sign and attach bill of lading to box / skid
- Loading and unloading trucks, as well as operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Assist with order fulfillment, including packing orders for shipment
- Assist with organizing and staging items for shipment and coordinating with other departments to ensure that materials are available when needed
- Assist customers at Parts Counter
QUALIFICATIONS :
- MUST HAVE COURIER EXPERIENCE must be familiar with the process of using courier websites to ship products, such as Purolator, FedEx, UPS, DiCom, DHL etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with computer programs and systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- A forklift certification and experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
