The Outreach and Visitor Experience division exists to enhance the quality of life through celebration and creation of opportunities, stewardship of the land, and youth engagement to learn about and share our province’s history, democracy, and to strengthen our diverse heritage and culture ensuring that Saskatchewan’s Capital City resonates with our provincial pride and significance.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an innovative, creative, and energetic individual to be the Manager of Outreach and Visitor Experience.

This position will be responsible for coordinating events, organizing outreach programs and enhancing visitor experiences.

Reporting to the Director of Outreach and Visitor Experience, you will build and maintain partnerships and relationships through collaboration to deliver on services, experiences, and programs that enrich and ignite our city, other responsibilities include :

  • Create and develop a branch plan and implement existing and new programs, events, services and service delivery of programs.
  • Lead / support and organize educational programs and events.
  • Direct and manage staff and manage employee work plans and performance.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan, risk management plan, mitigation methods, and implement change management.
  • Formulate and oversee a branch budget.
  • Direct social media, brand and creative direction with partners, agencies and vendors.
  • Provide verbal and written communication (referral letters, key messages, external requests, public calls, and issues management).
  • Collaborate, communicate and liaise with partners and agencies on events, programs, and activities and maintain and leverage relations with tourism partners.
  • Event plan (create, plan, schedule, distribute / deliver, budget, invoice, and attend / oversee).
  • Analyze, and / or provide recommendations on (initiative coordination, service delivery models, programs / programming and services creation).
  • Support the Provincial Military Liaison Office (programming and financial management).

Typically, this position would have a background and relevant experience in Political Studies, Political Science, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Planning, Project Management, and Policy.
