We are a private, non-union construction company focused on delivering exceptional residential projects within the Ottawa area. As a Carpenter Foreman, you will lead and supervise construction activities while showcasing your skills and passion for sustainable building practices on a variety of projects.Responsibilities include but are not limited to : -Execute hands-on carpentry work, including demolition, footing and ICF work, framing, window and door installation, exterior siding, insulation work, drywall work, interior door and trim work, flooring, tile work, and cabinetry installation.-Supervise and manage other employees and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.-Perform material take-offs and coordinate ordering and delivery with suppliers.-Ensure all work complies with construction blueprints, specs, and plans.-Maintain an organized and efficient worksite, upholding a strong focus on health and safety practices.-Submit receipts in an organized manner to the office and ensure proper documentation of expenses.-Complete daily work logs and progress reports promptly.-Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring effective communication between employees, subcontractors, and clients.-Continuously strive to improve construction techniques and processes to minimize the carbon footprint and promote sustainability.Required Skills / Abilities-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Carpenter in residential construction, including home renovations, additions, and new builds.-Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects in a foreman or supervisory role.-Proficiency in carpentry tasks, including demolition, framing, window and door installation, exterior siding, insulation work, drywall work, interior door and trim work, flooring, tile work, and cabinetry installation.-Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.-Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specs, and plans.-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.-Commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and lasting results.-Understanding of basic health and safety practices (Ministry Health and Safety Certificate preferred; training can be provided).-Valid driver's license and insurable driving record, along with a reliable personal vehicle.-Building Science knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.Benefits : -Tool Reimbursement : Keep your tools in top shape with our reimbursement program.-Ongoing Training : Access training opportunities to advance your career and grow within the company.Schedule : -8 hour shift-Monday to FridayWork Location : -In personWhy Join Us?Be part of a company that values sustainability, craftsmanship, and making a difference in the construction industry.
